Healing Narratives and Support

Day 1

WOW, MY WORK LOOKS AMAZING!

Emotions:

Today your brow strokes are fresh and skin is a bit sensitive. You’re feeling excited or perhaps even nervous. This is normal. As we experience change, even elective change, sometimes we are greeted with feelings of discomfort or unsureness.  Our artist heart suggestion is to try and be still and gentle with where you are at.

Cleaning:

2 hours after you appointment wash your treated area gently with cool water and a soft cloth or cotton pad ( do not over saturate area with water) Pat dry and apply a thin layer of your natural balm for hydration.  Repeat process 3+ times a day.

Gentle Reminder:

It is normal to see a bit of blood, pigment and/or lymph drainage on your cotton pad when cleaning, and for the area to be slightly achy.

Day 2-3

I LOVE THEM, BUT DO THEY SEEM DARKER TO YOU?

Emotions:

Today you may be noticing that your brows are darker ( or warmer) in color and possibly larger in size. This can be overwhelming for some and exciting for others. Your strokes are the most intense today in regards to appearances. Keep in mind that they will calm and “settle” over the next few days.

Cleaning:

Wash your treated area gently with cool water and a soft cloth or cotton pad ( do not over saturate area with water) Pat dry and apply a thin layer of your natural balm for hydration Repeat process 3+ times a day.

Gentle Reminder:

Remember to strictly adhere to things to do and things to avoid. Your efforts during the week of healing are crucial to the success results of your work.

You may still be feeling to dark, too thick and too bold. This phase is almost over, you’re doing great.

Day 4-5

UMMMMM, IS THIS NORMAL?

Emotions:

Brows may be starting to flake, itch, and slightly peel. Today you might be hating the fact that you have to stay completely hands off. You may be feeling a little concerned about the final results of your brow work, seeing that they don’t currently resemble what they did 5 days ago. This is all completely normal and part of the healing process.

*breathe babes, breathe. You’re on the right track.

Cleaning:

Wash your treated area gently with cool water and a soft cloth or cotton pad ( do not over saturate area with water) Pat dry and apply a thin layer of your natural balm for hydration Repeat process 3+ times a day.

Gentle Reminder:

If you feel itchy or discomfort in the treated area, reapply a thin layer of your natural balm.

Day 7

WHAT? HUH? WHY? OH NO! OMG! NO!!! HELP…OH…OK, COOL.

Emotions:

Today you and your brows may be at a full blown defcon 1. Your brows may be still flaking and either on the bathroom counter, or dangling in your brows, and you’re frustrated with the fact that you can’t pick them at all! You may be noticing ashy or “faded” like strokes and wondering where all the work is. You may have contacted us already panicked,  you may be rumbling with all the feels, or you may be totally calm through your realization that it is all part of the process. (No judgement if the latter is totally not you.) You’re so close, and we are very impressed with your restraint, your self love, and your grace.

Cleaning:

Wash your treated area gently with cool water and a soft cloth or cotton pad ( do not over saturate area with water) Pat dry and apply a thin layer of your natural balm for hydration  Repeat process 3+ times a day.

Gentle Reminder:

No picking, poking, brushing, fiddling or staring in frustration for hours at your brows and remember to stick to the suggested healing expectations. The brows are in the “milky” new skin stage which is why they feel so muted.

Day 10

WOW, YOU’RE PRACTICALLY THERE.

Emotions:

Queue the victory dance, you did it! Your strokes are officially “closed” and your flakes are mostly, if not completely gone. You can get the area wet, work out,  wash your face and use makeup as normal.

Gentle Reminder:

The Layers of the skin you can't see is still healing, be gentle with the area.  During the course of the next 4-6 days you will continue to see your strokes become more crisp and rich in color. Have some stroke shrinkage or pigment drop off? Not to worry, this is why we call the first appointment a “discovery” and the second appointment a “touch up”
